Doctor Suat Nazim Cerkes was born in 1959 in Istanbul. After graduating from Ankara Fen Lisesi (Science High School) in 1977, he has completed his medical degree from Hacettepe Medical Faculty, Ankara, in 1983. He has completed his obligatory service at Ordu-Unye between 1983-1985. He has started his plastic surgery training in 1985 at the Department of Plastic And Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. During his residency he has spesifically worked on the field of microsurgery and has started the clinical aplications of reconstructive microsurgery at the department. 

At the year of 1990 he has completed his plastic surgery training in Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine. Between 1990 - 1991 worked in UAB (University of Alabama at Birmingham) USA. At hte Department of Plastic Surgery as a clinical fellow. During this felloowship he worked with Luis O. Vasconez (one of the first pioneers of modern aesthetic surgery and endoscopic facial rejuvenation). Between 1992-2002 Doctor Nazim Cerkes worked as Associate Professor in the Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery, Istanbul University Faculty of Medicine.

In the begining of 2002 he opened Cosmed Levent Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Center; in 2003 he opened Cosmed Caddebostan aesthetic Beauty Center as a branch of Cosmed Levent.

As a result of his success especially in rhinoplasty (nose surgery) he has been invited to many important international and national meetings as a guest lecturer.

He is elected as a member of Educational Council of ISAPS (International Society of Aesthetic Plastic Surgeons) in 2008.

Doctor Nazım Cerkes is a member of ISAPS, American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASAPS), Turkish Association of Plastic Surgeons and Turkish Association of Reconstructive Microsurgery.

Doctor Nazim Cerkes is married and has two daughters. He speaks English and Italian. His hobies are free and scuba diving, skiing and playing bridge.
